- Boiled Boxty which is frequently made in this locality is usually made in the Winter months. It is prepared and set to boil as follows. The raw potatoes are peeled and grated with the ordinary tin grater made by the tinsmith. The mixture is put into a "boxty bag" and the water squeezed out of them.
