  1. Once upon a time there lived a man in this townland of Lisnanerris and his name was Pat Burke. He wished to get a pot of gold. One bright night he went out he walked around a big fort which was near his house. When he was about to return home when he heard some noise he looked around and saw a little fairy sitting under a mushroom. He was making a pair of shoes with long pointed toes. Pat came up to him and grasped him firmly. The fairy let a great shout but Pat held him fast. He held him fast and he told him that he wanted a pot of gold. The fairy said that there was a pot of gold at the roots of that tree. Pat got a spade and he dug deep down in the ground. He found a small box and he pulled it out with great joy
