1. A Cure

   There is a man in this district named William Hetherington who can make the cure of the Sprain.
   This is how he makes the cure.
   First he gets a dandelion, chops it finely and mixes it with a small quantity of butter. Then he rubs the affected part of the sufferer many times with this mixture.
   The infected person should have a piece of string or woollen thread with him or her for the curer to rub a piece of the mixture on it.
   Next the curer puts the string or thread round the affected part and prays in Irish while doing so.
   The cure can be made any day provided it is made before the setting of the sun. It must be made three times inside of nine days.
   His mother left him this cure before she died.
