    We are tired listening to songs of coons in desent isles,

    Matthew Maguire of Bronagh composed Pat from Donegal which is as follows:-
    We are tired listening to songs of coons in desert isles,
    About ladies with their short coats meek ways and winning smiles
    But now I'll sing you another song which you never heard atall,
    About a rattling Irishman named Pat from Donegal.

    Pat, he is a noble sport as he drives along the van,
    You could not get the beat of him from Eire to Japan.
    He is always welcomed where e'er he goes He is admired by all,
    For he is the jolliest and best hearted soul in dear old Donegal.

    When a football match is on he is as clever
