reached Cashelgarren on the Sligo road. Their horses were giving up when the brother said "I am afraid we will have to get down and fight for our lives". They went into an old waste house and drew the horses across the door. In a very short time the Dobharchú was at the door, and with one shake of its head it drew away the horses.
Glancy was waiting with a poisoned dagger, and he stuck it through the monster's heart.
The picture of the Dobharchú is still to be seen on Glancy's grave in Conwall graveyard in Glenade, Co Leitrim.
Thanks thanks to god, those brothers joined in the wildness of the night. Our peaceful homes by Glenade lake shall shelter us to night.
If there is any doubt of what I write, just visit old Conwall grace, where sleeps the brave whose epitaph can tell.
