    The names of the birds in my district are the robin, the blackbird, the thrush, the wren, the tomtit, the chaffinch, the titlark, the yellow-hammer,(and) the crow, and the pigeon.
    The crow is the most common in my district. She builds her nest on the top of a tree. Some of the other birds build in bushes. More build in houses and other in banks. When the swallow flies low it is said there will be wet weather, and when she flies high it is said that there will be fine weather.
    The crows and the blackbirds and thrushes eggs are pink and the rest of the bird's eggs are speckled. The bird sits on the eggs for about three weeks. If boys rob a bird's nest they are told they will get sore hands,
