  1. The following story is about the Blessed Virgin.
    There was a man once and he was living in the village of Aughrim. This man happened to be very poor. The only way of living he had was cutting hay with a scythe.
    Every morning he went out with his scythe, wet or fine, Sunday or holiday, cutting the hay for his neighbours and he would get ten shillings for his wages.
    On Lady day, he went out with his scythe on his shoulders. He was going along, when suddenly a beautiful Lady walked out in front of him.
    He saluted her and she asked him where he was going. "I am going to cut hay", he answered
