- Once upon a time when sheep were taken home from the hills at the beginning of winter they were kept at home untill winter was over. One winters evening in November a farmer's son went to take home his sheep from the hill and unfortunately it became late. Night was falling fast and he was a long distance from home.
On his way home with his sheep he met a man. This man was bringing home sheep also and he said to the boy will you help me to drive home my sheep? The farmer's son said indeed I will not I have my own sheep to take home and night is falling quickly. In a minute there was no man to be seen. From that moment the boy and the sheep where always walking and at the same time were standing in the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
