The custom the people had when a person would get married was to dress two man up in white and they formed a white horse. In olden times there used to be disputes between the husband and the girls parents to see what dowry she would get.

The common birds of this district are, the wren, the sparrow, the robin, the lark, the cuckoo, the swallow, the seagull, the peweet, the crow, the blackbird the (trush) thrush, the curlew and the wild goose. The robin builds her nest(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
