  1. When the sun gets very red it is a sign of frost.
    When there is a new moon and she appears very strait in the sky it is a sign of rain. When the stars are shining very brightly it is a sign of frost, and when they are dark and dull it is a sign of rain. In the winter when the clouds are white it is a sign of a snow storm. When the wind is coming from the west or southwest it brings rain to our district. When the seagulls leave the shore and come to the land it is a sign of bad weather. When there is going to be bad weather the cat claws at timber.
