They are much warmer than bought ones. Some times yarn that is spun in the district is got for knitting. The yarn is spin from the sheeps wool. Stockings or socks knit with this yarn are very thick and warm.There are three homes in this district where spinning wheels are kept. These homes are near the hill and have sheep. One of these wheels is used often.When people are at a weeding they usually wear bright clothing. It is a custom at a wedding for men to wear a white shirt and a white tie. On Saint Patricks day green is warn. When people are at a funeral they usually wear black, especially at the funeral of a relative. It is a custom for people not to put in any new clothes when going to a funeral.
