She hit the desks with a stick and shouted, "Prompt to obedience." She wore big nailed boots. She sat on a big chair. When she had nothing to give the beggars she stood at the window and kept shouting, " You need not come up," until they went away. She ate crows. She made them rub their faces to make them look nice. When Mrs Smith was the teacher she had two little children. Miss Annesley used to get them in a barrow and wheel them round the school and then into it. Mary Smith said, "Mary dear you never learn sense."
