- There is a great fort near Letterkenny in Sallahagrain. It is a Danish fort. There is none of it to be seen now, only a (larl) large ring. It is called a Danish fort because it was the Danes that built it. It is now seldom spoken of, because you would not see it unless you know exactly where it is.
