    All the people long ago used to go bare footed. The people now go on the bare feet in summer. Some of the old people long ago used to make shoes. Mylie Ferry used to tan leather also Paddy Mac Lean of Knocknafaugher.

    In olden times people wore shoes only on a Sunday. They carried them in their hands going and coming from chapel and put them on going into chapel.
