- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The oldest tomb is that of Conary O’ Cleary, one for the Four Masters, which was discovered by the late Hugh Allingham, author of The History of Ballyshannon, Conary O’Cleary died about the year 1650.
As this abbey was founded in the year 1182 other tomb—stones bearing states from the twelfth century may be found there.
The Celtic cross surmounting the tomb of the late Dr. Sheil is a fine specimen of sculptured work in Mountcharles limestone. There are several other specimens of Irish workmanship in the cemetery in granite, marble and limestone.
The Rock Cemetery in the town of Ballyshannon dates a few hundred years back and is situated in the chapel grounds. It is enclosed by(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
