    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    In olden times houses were not made as they are today. They were made of rough stones and mortar. The roofs were made of little bits of twigs, ribary?, runners and collar braces. Then scraws were put on, and thatch. That was done, ropes were got and one end fo the rope was caught by a peg in the side wall. Then the other end of the rope was thrown across the house and fastened to another peg on the other side, and so on until the house was roped. Some roofs were flaged. Houses were never built on a path, and an additional room put to the west side of the house or it would be haunted. Very small windows were put in, and flagged floors. Twigs were
