    My name is Pat ODonnel and I come from Donegal. They say I'm a threcherous man to traitors one and all. For the shooting of James Cary I was tried in London town. And now into the gallows high my life I now lay down. I sailed on board the ship Mulbrows in August '83.
    And before I landed in Cape Town Cary was made known to me. When I found out it was Cary we had angry words and blows, and the villain strove to take my life within the ship Mulbrows.
    A pocket pistol I drew forth and at him I let fly
    I gave him a second revalloy
