  1. There is a blessed well in Balla called the ''Blessed well of Balla''. The people used to gather together and march to the well on the 15th of August. It is right to leave something after you at the well. They used to leave money, hair slides and handkerchiefs the people do not carry out that now.
    There is also a blessed well in Kilgiven a couple of miles west of Lecanvey.
