- Once upon a time there was a man by the name of Pat Keefe of Ardnaboy and he was living by himself. He had a gap going into one of his fields & every evening he built up the gap at 6 o'c & in the mornings the gaps was down again & this night he built up the gap & lay down in the grass & at 12 o'c a little man came & began to knock down the stones & Pat got up & caught him by the neck & put a knife in his throat & he says to him "Draw your dagger & stab again" and he went home & went to bed. The next morning he went down to the gap & got the knife in a heap of jelly & the gap was never knocked down again.
