    Fairs 5 -4 -'38.
    Fairs are common around this district ,and when the people have stock to sell they usually bring them to the fairs of Ennis, Gort or Tulla.
    Up to about a hundred years ago a fair used to held in Crusheen.A faction -fight was held there on one fair-day between the Moroneys and Walshes ,a man or two were killed in the conflict ,and the fair was a never held there afterwards. The field in which the fair used to be held is still called "Fair Field"
