    they said that they would have no luck.
    When a buyer buys cattle he puts a mark on the back of each animal with a paint -stick or a scissors,and sometimes with a bit of mud and the people at the gate knows which ones to get custom for because of the mark on them.
    The biggest fairs to which the people of Crusheen bring their stock to is the 14th of October and the 18 of April in Ennis and the 17th of march in Gort.
