    Dear Michael...

    Ballyforan,
    Ballinasloe,
    26-11-37
    My Dear Michael,
I received your letter of the 10th inst., and was delighted to hear you are well. I am grateful for your invitation and I accept it with the greatest of pleasure. I shall be sure to reach your house at about two o'clock as you suggest. I am looking forward to a good game with your new football. It was very good of your mother to tell you to invite me and go to so much trouble about the cakes. Please tell her how grateful I am for her kindness.
With many thanks to yourself for your kind invitation.
    I remain, Dear Michael,
    your loving pal,
    Ray
