    Our school closed for the summer holidays on the 30th of July. They lasted for five weeks, all through August and one week of September. The weather was very warm. I had great fun in helping to bring home the hay. We went down to Galway in our new car about twice a week and I enjoyed the days very much. We had a dip or two in the sea and took our luncheon. Then we stayed two or three hours playing in the sand and making castles and letting the waves wash in on our feet. Then we went down to Toft's for another hour or so. After that we
