  1. A long time ago there lived upon the hills a man named white David. He had a little house upon the side of the hill. He was a robber. He was always walking the hills and the glens. The name of the hill he was living on is Sliabh Cearr. He was going around robbing the country. He used to bring gold to the place and other valuable things and store them in the back of the hill. When the people used to chase him he used to go out in a little lake on a boat so that they would catch him. At last the people followed him again and they caught him before he had
