    There was once a man who lived in Aran. He went to a fair one day.

    car came near him it knew it was the Coísce Bódhan. Then he made the sign of the cross with his stick on the road. When the Cóisce Bódhan came as far as the cross it disappeared because the fairies can never follow you past a cross. Afterwards that man died because any person who sees the Cóisce Bódhan will die soon afterwards.
