- There was a saint living long ago about a mile and a half from here. Her name was Saint Sunney. She lived in a cabin built of stone and clay and near it was a well which got the name of "Saint Surneys well".
When people suffer from any ailments and after their recovery they go to the well every Monday and Thursday for three weeks.
