    When the wind blows from Elphin we will have rain. When the cat sits with her back to the fire, when the dog eats grass, or when soot falls we will also have rain. When crows fly high in the air we will have a storm.
    When a voice or bell can be heard clear and loud we will have frost. When the wind comes from Carrick on Shannon good weather is coming.
