  2. Bhí beirt fhear óg ag foghluim le bheith 'na sagairt ag mainistir Naomh Sheanáin in Inis Cathaigh. Tá Carraig mhor idir Oileán hóg agus Inis Cathaigh agus lá amhain nuair a bhí an taoide tráighte chuadar amach is do shuidheadar air. Tháinig an taoide isteach in gan fhios dóibh agus do bádhadh iad.
    Do chaith an taoide ar an dtraigh iad go bhfuair muinntir na mainistreach iad. Nuair a chonnaic Naomh Seanán comh brónach is a bhí a dtuismigtheoírí ina ndiaidh do thóg sé ón mbás iad. Acht dubhairt an bheirt leis go rabhadar tar éis aoibhneas na bhflathas d'fheiscint agus go mbhfearr leo bás fhagail arís. Do gheill Naomh Seanáin doibh agus do fuaradar bás láithreach.
