    I was in Ryan’s field,
    When they opposed the Cratloe Boys
    And made the champions yield,
    The scores being small above them
    But that was no surprise,
    And all the spectators wondered
    To see the champions disguised,
    The champions got such surfeit of it
    So they were nearly crying
    I saw Jack Frost to rise the ball
    And it was taken by young Bob Ryan.
