    When he came near it he daw it was only a butt of tree with sheets rolled around it,so that any one by looking at it would think it was a ghost, ora stranger figure of some kind.
    It was John Naughton, cratloe Co Clare told me these stories.
    Another story is, one night John O’Brien of portdrine, cratloe was coming home from Meelick by a railway as he came up on the railway bridge he saw a woman dressed in white and she kept before him until he got to the other side, then she disappeared,It was Robert Frost, Portdrine Cratloe told me this story’
    Another story is one night Patrick Coughlan of Portdrine was coming home from limerick, walking.
