hammered down round the wheel and when it has its proper shape taken it is put on a concrete circle specially made for that purpose. In the centre of this concrete circle there is a hole where the box of the wheel will fit.
The timber box is leavered down into the big concrete box which causes the water to flow out along a pipe which comes up underneath the wheel and floods the wheel.
When the wheel is cool enough the timber box is leavered up again and all the water flows back into concrete box again and the wheel is shod.
