Marriage Customs
Long ago the marriage customs in Ireland were very amusing.
That morning every friend assembled at the intended brides house where they were entertained to breakfast, drink, music, and dance of every description until the bridal party left in their coach to go to the church to be married. then there was a range of side-cars and traps for a mile of the road as there were no motor-cars at that time. Aftr the marriage they drove to the bridegrooms house, where dinner was ready to entertain the guests.
