A Ghost Story
Before the rebellion of 1916 the people used to see ghosts.A man in Glandree built a new dwelling house. One day he lit a fire upstairs After a few minutes he heard a knock downstairs.He went down and there was an old woman below.She said to him ,"Do not live in this house for seven years"He asked her for her reason.She said "Because the fairies will need it until then.She then went away.He went up stairs and quenched the fire.
