Tulla, after the dignity of Bishop, being conferred on Saint Mochulla was known as Tulach na n-Easpog.

Saint Mochulla was known as "Mochulla the miracle worker"

The Saint had a gift of taming wild animals. Reference is already may to his tame hind. This deer yielded him milk which he kept in a "bullaun." (" bullain " are yet to be found in the neighbourhood of Tulla - at Kiltanon Fomerla and other places. The most perfect specimen is that at Magh Adhair - the place of inauguration of the O'Brien kings.)
Saint Mochulla tamed a ferocious bull which used "to repel wolves and robbers."
