    district who sells a wide variety of articles such as delf, china, tea sets, cans and floor mats. She gets bottles in return and sometimes ready money. The funniest pedlar that ever went round in this district was Tom Mc Crann and on his he had printed Tom Mc Crann, Paris. There was never a more comical outfit seen than Tom and his ass and carts.
    There was a tenpenny bit long ago and it was very common in olden times and there was another coin the groat and it was valued for four pence The largest money was the Guinea.
    There were other coins that have gone out of use and they are the farthing the half-farthing the crown and the four shilling piece.
    In referring to buying or selling things long ago certain words were used
