In Ballynevin there are three ponds.

In Ballynevin there are three ponds. There is one on Mr.Drohan’s farm another on Miss Walsh’s and a third on Mr. Patrick Walsh’s. In days gone by clay was dug there and mixed with lime and spread on the land. As time wore on the farmers ceased to dig clay here and the holes filled with water. The three ponds are very much alike.
