  1. Clonea Castle
    This was a fine building, but is now practically gone to ruin. About a couple of years ago a large part of this building was knocked down by the storm. It possessed a kind of gate moving in frame-work which could be closed at will. It is surrounded by a large moat, which is a kind of ditch surrounding a Castle. There was also a strong wall to defend this Castle. Old people say a few battles were fought there with hand weapons.
