A townsland on the border of this parish...

A townsland on the border of this Parish down by the Curraghmore wall was once called lis na smutáin. There is a brook running down there and it forms one boundary of this townsland and the road the other boundary. There was only one house in the townsland. It is now unoccupied the last occupier being Mr.Robert Power. This townsland is now part of Ballynevin, Parish of Clonea, Carrick on Suir.
