    over the ground
Shall the huntsman turn sadly to Clonegam steeps
Where so calm in death's slumber Lord Waterford sleeps
For the horn nor the bugle shall wake him no more
But his name shall for ever cling round Curraghmore.
This song was composed in commemoration of the 6th Marquis of Waterford. He was found drowned in the river Clodagh on 1st December 1911.He had been out hunting on the previous day and when returning he went to the Curraghmore garden and he was never seen alive again. This song was composed by Lily Casey-Hearne who is now in America.
