  1. Long ago all the old people had small hand churns for making butter. A churn staff a cup and a lid went with the churn. They used batter the cream with the churn staff and separate it into butter. If a man came in when they were making the churn and he did not make a start of it the butter would never make. When the butter was made it was taken out of the churn and washed in a tub of cold water. Then they made it into hatol lump and brought it to the shop.
