    Forts
There is a fort in our field and there is another in Thomas Lonergan's Garryroan. There is also one in Murphy's field Millgrove. It is now levelled. It is believed that this fort was levelled by the Quakers who lived there at one time.
They were all built in high places and each was in view of the neighbouring fort.
They are said to have been built by the Danes who came to Ireland in the year eight hundred.
