    Flax Mills
The ruins of an old flax mill are still to be seen near Michael Regan's, Clonmore, north about two miles from Garryclogher school. It was stripped some years ago.
There is also a field near the ruins called the "Bleach field."
There is a pond beside the ruins which is cemented underneath. This is now a reservoir which supplies the town of Cahir with water. The reason it was near Scarrough wood is that the linen used to be spread out on the "Bleach field.
The wood ashes used to be shaken on top of them it was called "Charcoal."
Thee is a deep dyke in Wm Murphy's of Millgrove called the Flax Pool. In those days a large number of the people used to get work in those factories.
