  1. To get a bite from a dog the cure is to pull a hair out of his hair and put it across the cut and it heals it.
    A cure for a wart is to take a piece of fat meat from the table without anybody seeing you do it, then rub it to the wart and bury the meat. The wart is supposed to wither while the meat is rotting.
    Thirty years ago all the medicines used for the different diseases were made from local herbs.
    There was a doctor once living in Castle St. named Dr. Berney who made up all his prescriptions himself from the herbs.
