- There is a man in Nenagh called Mr. Chumney and he was a great storyteller one time. Every night some young boys used to gather round him to hear his stories.
One night a traveller was listening to Mr. Chumney and he heard him say that he saw a man climbing a ladder without anyone holding it.
"Oh" said the traveller, "I saw a man doing the same thing". "But" said Mr Chumney," When this man got to the top he pulled it up after him and climbed up again.
