    As down the fields they ran

    Or even speak

    The ganger ran right down the hill
    He ran with all his might
    He ran for two long miles or more
    Until he got out of sight.
    Saying if ever I return
    Protected I must be,
    For to gang a mob
    Is no soft job
    On the hills of Curnagrea.
