The local landlord around the district of Boyle was Colonel King-Harman who owned the Rockingham estate up to the time of his death. Lord Kingston was the landlord of the Kilronan estate. He had three agents namely Moran, Totlo and Mersich. Sometimes the tenants and the rent collectors had a fight when the tenants were being evicted.
