    The councillors of Ballyfarnon
    Deserve the height of praise
    For they assisted handsomely
    The cottages to raise
    And those who have elected them
    Both husband child and wife
    Their names shall be recorded
    In our memory for life
    And will stand a lasting record
    For the country all around
    To help the old and feeble
    'Round Ballyfarnon town.
    The workmanship
    We can't let slip
    For durability
    For as a labourer's cottage
    It's equal cannot be.
    The interior of this cottage
    Is beautiful and grand
    With strong walls and roofing
    Which for centuries will stand
    Also, its splendid parlour
