    Monday and Friday are thought unlucky days for marriage. If the day is raining it is thought very unlucky.
    "Happy is the bride whom the sun shines on". If the parties meet a funeral going to the chapel it is a sign of bad luck. If they meet a red haired woman it is also a sign of bad luck. If they meet a dark-haired man it is a sign of good luck. There are other superstitions about marriage with regards to the dress of the bride.
