    In a little village called Cootehall, I know the place right well.
    And that is the very reason a true story I will tell.
    Of how Comdt. Dockery, his Adjutant and all
    Were rounded up King's prisoners in the village of Cootehall.

    When Dockery left Hill Street his intention I will tell
    Was to head the fourth battallion hike at the Holy Well.
    But his misfortune was to halt, on to that village call.
    But I guess his runs in future will be less around Cootehall.

    They had scarcely reached the village
