  1. One of the Gougs is known as Gough na Feola and is near a well known and popular bathing place called Black Rock near a well known rock known locally as "Top Boot".
    Years ago when shipwrecks occurred boxes of meat were often washed into the caves and were often got by the local fishermen.
    An old man named Nicholas often searched those caves for anything that might be washed in.
    One night he went into the cave known as Gough na Feola about 1 o'clock. He found nothing but saw a lighted candle inside.
    He took the candle and on coming out and climbing
